A Few Words About Us
A family business, Peninsula Roots originated from the family’s deep background of the Bruce Peninsula itself. What started as a property maintenance company in 1987 eventually developed into a 14,000 square feet of garden center and a landscaping company in 1992.

We had a vision for our property and Don, Justin and their crew helped us turn it into reality. We wanted to turn our “construction site” into a lovely front yard and waterfront patio worthy of our dream cottage that we spent so long planning and having constructed.
Justin and Don’s creative hardscape design included practical but attractive pathways, steps, retaining walls, and a beautiful patio all using natural, irregular-shaped flagstone. The design harmonized with the surrounding landscape and slope of the property and even incorporated an existing slab of limestone into the patio design, providing visual interest and respecting the natural environment.
The craftsmanship and work ethic of Justin and his crew is second to none. They communicated their plan well and met with us regularly for progress updates and feedback.
